How Is Edible Gelatin Produced?

At Maya Gelatin Gıda A.Ş., we produce edible gelatin from bovine hides sourced directly and freshly from our own supply network. Thanks to our long-standing experience in the leather industry since 1976, we have a natural and reliable access to high-quality raw materials. This organic connection to the leather sector is the foundation of the purity, safety, and traceability of our gelatin production.

The production process begins with thorough cleaning of the raw material, followed by controlled hydrolysis to extract gelatin. The material is then subjected to filtration, concentration, drying, and milling — all carried out under hygienic conditions, without any chemical additives, and in accordance with high food safety standards.

Our entire production takes place in our modern green building-certified facility, which reflects our deep commitment to environmental responsibility. Designed with energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management in mind, our infrastructure supports our vision of sustainable and transparent manufacturing.
